Description

The varietal wine Merlot terroire represents our desire to showcase the old and renowned Merlot grape variety through the qualities of our vineyard. Its consistent yield and stable quality make it the most reliable wine variety. Therefore, the differences in varietal characteristics are equated with the differences in vineyard characteristics. The fruity expressions in the wine reflect the value of the soil, climate, and cultivation methods, so the addition of “terroire” in the name revives not only the quality of the variety but also the vineyard and viticultural practice.

To express its values, it must age in oak barrels for at least 18 months and another 6 months in the bottle.

• Location: Smederevo–Jugovo wine region, Belgrade district, Serbia
• Orientation: Northwest with reflection from the Danube
• Altitude: 200 m
• Soil type: Layers of various sandy structures

• Harvest: Hand-picked, 10.09. – 15.09.2022
• Grape composition: Merlot 100%
• Maceration: 20 days
• Aging: 18 months in French oak barrels
• Annual production: 2,500 liters
