Description

In the spirit of canonical rules, our red wine Kanon ‘22 is crafted using traditional methods, where after controlled fermentation, the wine matures in wooden barrels. The individual qualities of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon in Kanon complement each other and continually surprise us with their rich aromatic complexity… From the scent of overripe cherries, wild blueberries, plums, to the aroma of freshly blossomed violets.

Kanon is an ideal representative of an archival wine, whose full value is revealed only over time.

• Location: Smederevo–Jugovo wine region, Belgrade district, Serbia
• Orientation: Northwest with reflection from the Danube
• Altitude: 200 m
• Soil type: Layers of various sandy structures

PRODUCTION

• Harvest: Hand-picked, 15.09. – 26.10.2022
• Grape composition: Merlot 48%, Cabernet Sauvignon 50%, Malbec 2%
• Maceration: 24 days
• Aging: 12 months in French oak barrels
• Annual production: 20,000 liters
